How to make safe a wooden or metal swing set
A swing set is an important part of every childhood. There are a lot of opportunities to buy
wooden or metal swing sets, but parents should check any one they buy for safety. As children often go to play
in parks, it's also important to examine all swing sets and accessories located in a public park.
To succeed in your action, you should know what specific areas to focus in order to on to ensure the safety of
swingsets and accessories.
1. Anchor. It is important to take a look at the base to see how
swing sets for children are anchored. In order to hold the structure in place, all swing sets will be firmly attached to the ground with poles or cross beams. An improper anchoring showed by wobbling or shifting in place need to be fixed.

Wooden sections should always be treated with paint or wood stain and sealed against the weather.

5. Foundation. Check the material the swing set stands on top of. Usually, sand, wood pellets, rubber pellets and pea gravel are all good materials for making a soft surface able to cushion the blow if a child falls.
6. Replace. Any part that you think is not safe enough should be replaced immediately.
