Title: What I want for my kids
Author: Peter Tombak
Article:
I want to get my kids (8, 4, & 3 months) something to play on.
Shopping around, the standard swing sets (Wal-mart variety) seem
rather crappy (wood and metal ones both look like they would barely
last a season) and on the other hend you seem to have these play
castles that cost upwards of thousands of dollars.
Now I may be willing to spend upwards to about $1000 if I think it
will last long enough so that it will still be around when my new baby
is 4 years old. It would sure bear replacing a $150 metal swing set
every year considering the hassle of setting up, tearing down after it
breaks, and disposal. But on the other hand, it seems like for the
nicer sets, $1000 barely gets you much (a fort, slide, and a single
swing maybe). Considering that most of the time there will be several
kids playing on it, they shouldn't have to fight over the one swing or
whatever.
So anyone buy anything lately that can suggest something? I am in
Massachusetts not far from Lowell and the New Hampshire border if that
helps.
